Gainesville Golf Courses
Situated just north of downtown Gainesville, Chattahoochee Golf Club is the oldest course in northeast Georgia. Robert Trent Jones crafted the classic design but it underwent a major redesign in 2006 that provided all new greens and bunkers as well as a new fairway drainage system. The best characteristics of the original design were kept in tact but the golf course is now more challenging.

Chicopee Woods Golf Course is a public, 27-hole layout in Gainesville. The holes are divided into three nines: the Village, the Mill, and the School, that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Village nine is the longest of the three and it's also the driest. There is only a small lake beside the second hole. That doesn't mean the golf course isn't challenging though, you'll still face several strategically placed bunkers.
